For most Indian households the scooty is the hardest-working vehicle in the family — school runs, office commutes, market trips, all of it. It is also the vehicle most likely to skip services, because taking it to a workshop means losing half a day and being without your daily ride. Apna Mechanic removes that trade-off: the mechanic comes to your home and services the scooty while you watch.
Every service follows a fixed checklist — engine oil, air filter, brakes, belt and rollers (for CVT scooters), spark plug, battery terminals, all greasing points — and the mechanic walks you through what was found before anything extra is done. No workshop black box, no surprise bill.

Which scooters do we service?
All of them. Honda Activa and Dio, TVS Jupiter, Ntorq and Scooty Pep+, Suzuki Access and Burgman, Hero Pleasure and Maestro, Yamaha Fascino and Ray ZR — plus electric scooters from Ola, Ather, TVS and Bajaj (see our dedicated electric scooter service). Gearless CVT scooters get the belt-and-roller inspection that roadside shops usually skip; it is the single most common cause of "pickup has dropped" complaints.
Why doorstep service beats the workshop queue
At a workshop your scooty waits in a queue, gets handled by whoever is free, and you collect it with a bill you cannot question. At your doorstep the same fixed checklist is done in front of you — you see the old oil drain out, you see the air filter before and after, and you approve any extra part before it goes on. It is the same transparency that makes people trust their neighbourhood mechanic, with the process and warranty of an organised network. Service quality is backed by the Ride N Repair group's vetted mechanic network.
How often should a scooty be serviced?
Every 3,000–4,000 km or 3–4 months, whichever comes first — scooters run hotter and rev higher than motorcycles, so oil degrades faster. If the scooty is used daily in stop-go traffic, lean towards the earlier end. Between services, keep tyre pressures checked monthly; under-inflated tyres are the most common cause of poor mileage and vague handling we see on home visits.
