Electric scooters were supposed to end workshop visits — no oil, no filters, no tune-ups. The reality every EV owner discovers: brakes still wear, tyres still puncture, suspensions still rattle, and the nearest brand service centre still has a two-week waiting list. Apna Mechanic covers the mechanical 80% of EV maintenance at your doorstep, so the service-centre queue is reserved for what genuinely needs it.

Our mechanics work on every major electric two-wheeler — Ola Electric, Ather, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Hero Electric and others — handling brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, body panels, 12V electricals and routine diagnostics.

What's included

  • EV general service from ₹999 — brakes, tyres, suspension, drivetrain and safety checklist
  • Brake pad / shoe replacement and disc inspection
  • Puncture repair from ₹600 (most EVs run tubeless)
  • Suspension, steering-bearing and body-rattle fixes
  • 12V accessory battery and wiring checks
  • Repair visits from ₹450 — quoted before work starts

What we service on an EV — and what stays with the brand centre

We handle: brakes (the #1 EV wear item — regen braking does not stop pad wear), tyres and punctures, suspension and steering, panel rattles and loose fasteners, the 12V accessory battery, horn/indicator/lighting faults, and pre-ride safety inspections.

The brand service centre keeps: traction-battery (high-voltage) work, motor and controller replacements, and firmware/software updates tied to the manufacturer's diagnostic tools. If your fault is on that list, we will tell you straight away rather than experiment with a high-voltage system — that is both a safety line and an honesty line.

Why EVs still need regular service

An electric scooter has far fewer moving parts than a petrol one, but the parts it keeps are the ones your safety depends on. Brake pads glaze and wear, tyres age and lose grip, wheel and steering bearings develop play, and suspension bushes degrade on Indian roads exactly as they do on any scooter. A 30-minute doorstep inspection every 3–4 months keeps the ride tight and catches small issues — a weeping fork seal, a soft brake lever — before they become big ones.

Frequently asked questions

Do you service Ola electric scooters at home?
Yes. Brakes, tyres, suspension, punctures, 12V electrical faults and general inspections on Ola S1 models are done at your doorstep from ₹999. High-voltage battery, motor and software work stays with the Ola service centre, and we will tell you when an issue belongs there.
What does an electric scooter service include?
A full mechanical and safety checklist: brake inspection and adjustment, tyre condition and pressure, suspension and steering check, drivetrain inspection (belt or hub), fastener torque check, 12V battery and lighting test, and a short road test. Anything needing parts is quoted before work begins.
Can you fix an EV puncture at home?
Yes — most electric scooters run tubeless tyres, which are sealed on the spot from ₹600. The mechanic also checks the rim and valve, since kerb impacts that cause punctures often bend the valve stem too.
Will doorstep service void my EV warranty?
Wear-item maintenance — brake pads, tyres, suspension adjustments — does not void a manufacturer warranty. We do not open high-voltage systems, which is where warranty restrictions genuinely apply, so the sensitive parts of your warranty stay untouched.
Which electric scooter brands do you cover?
Ola Electric, Ather, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Hero Electric, Greta, Hop, AMO, Battre and most other electric two-wheelers sold in India. If it has two wheels and brakes, the mechanical checklist applies.
