A flat tyre never picks a good time. Pushing a bike to the nearest puncture shop in traffic — or discovering the shop is closed — turns a five-minute fix into a lost hour. Apna Mechanic flips that around: the mechanic comes to your bike, whether it is parked at home, in your office basement, or stranded on the roadside.

Our mechanics carry the tools for both tubeless and tube-type tyres — strip seals, rubber mushroom plugs, tube patches and portable inflators — so most punctures are fixed on the spot. If the tyre or tube is beyond repair, the mechanic tells you upfront and helps you arrange a replacement instead of charging you for a fix that will not hold.

Tubeless vs tube puncture — what actually gets done

On a tubeless tyre, the mechanic locates the leak, removes the nail or debris, and seats a rubber plug from outside — the tyre usually stays on the rim and the fix takes 10–15 minutes. On a tube-type tyre, the wheel has to come off: the tube is pulled out, the leak is found in a water check, a vulcanised patch is applied, the inside of the tyre is swept for the culprit, and everything is refitted and inflated to spec.

Repeated punctures in the same area, sidewall cuts, or a tube that already carries several patches are signs you need a replacement, not another patch. Our mechanic will tell you honestly — a patch on a dying tube only strands you again.

Stuck mid-ride? We also handle breakdowns

A puncture on the move often comes with friends — a bent valve, a damaged rim tape, a battery drained from waiting with indicators on. Because every Apna Mechanic visit is a full-capability repair visit (from ₹450), the mechanic can fix what the puncture dragged along, not just the hole in the tyre. Frequently asked questions

How much does doorstep bike puncture repair cost?
₹600 for one tyre — tubeless or tube type — at your home, office or roadside location. Each additional tyre in the same visit is ₹100. The price is confirmed before the mechanic starts.
How long does a puncture repair take?
A tubeless plug repair typically takes 10–15 minutes. A tube-type repair takes 25–40 minutes because the wheel and tube have to come off. Reaching time depends on your location and mechanic availability in your area.
Can you repair a puncture on a tubeless tyre without removing it?
Yes — in most cases a tubeless puncture is sealed from outside with a rubber plug while the tyre stays on the rim. If the hole is on the sidewall or too large to plug safely, the mechanic will recommend a tyre replacement instead.
What if my tube is beyond repair?
The mechanic will show you the damage and quote a replacement tube before fitting it. You only pay for parts you approve — there is no pressure to replace anything that can be safely patched.
Do you fix scooter (gearless) punctures too?
Yes. Activa, Jupiter, Access, Ola, Ather — every two-wheeler is covered, including electric scooters. Most scooters run tubeless tyres, which are usually the quicker fix.
